About Us

In 1987 Greg Sr started the company out of his garage, he was the only employee. A few years later, his friend Max would join as the first employee. In 1998 the first warehouse was opened on 38th and Division. After graduating from U of O in 2003 Greg Jr joined the company full-time. Both Greg and Brittany spent summers and off time working for GBFC in their high school and college years. In 2002 the company needed a larger warehouse and moved to 202nd in Gresham. In 2005 three more installers were hired.

In 2013 Greg Sr and Greg Jr bought 845 NE Cleveland in Gresham. This purchase expanded the showroom and warehouse, to allow for growth over the next 20 years. 2013 boosted the employee count to 10. Then Brittany joined in 2015 after completing her master’s at Seattle University. In 2016 the company became Wedi certified which expanded the tile division of the company. 2017 GBFC became a General Contractor rather than a specialty contractor, which expanded the maintenance and remodeling division of the company.

Since that time GBFC has worked hard to create a long list of specialty subcontractors who are at the top of their fields. Every day we work with electricians, plumbers, slab contractors and many more subcontractors. In 2023 Greg Sr, retired and sold the company to Greg Jr. With a fresh name, Baurer Construction & Flooring—the same family owned and operated values remain. 2023 marks 22 employees who continue to serve residential, multifamily, and commercial customers with construction and flooring projects alike.
